Implementing a strategic & tactical view on Marketing & Digital, always customer focused, together with all key stakeholders.

Who is Thomas Vaarten?

After graduating at EHSAL Brussels (MBA), Thomas combined two jobs in two sectors for three years: On the one hand, he was community manager at VIACOM International Media Networks (MTV – TMF) and on the other hand, he was a bricks-and-mortar store manager of various A.S. Adventure stores in Belgium.
In 2014, his passion for digital, for retail, omnichannel and for A.S.Adventure Group was so big, that he made the decision to stop working at MTV, and to focus on the online approach of A.S.Adventure Group as e-commerce manager, managing a dynamic 30 member e-commerce team.

Taking into account both the bricks and clicks, Thomas kept the Omni-channel story alive with all customers and employees. Why? It is essential for the customer to have comfort and optimal availability of advice, information and products where they want it and when they want it. And that’s the basis of an inspiring and unique shopping experience with maximum satisfaction.

In 2018, his retail, omnichannel & data driven marketing experience got stronger, and Thomas started his own Management Consulting company ‘FOX IN BLUE’: helping brands to leverage their retail, marketing, digital, & omnichannel strategy.

As a management consultant, the link with A.S.Adventure was still there for quite some time, being a member of the board of directors, with a strategic focus on Sales & Digital.

Thomas has also some experience in the furniture industry, currently being a member of the board of directors, with a focus on Marketing & Digital, helping Overstock Garden, Overstock Home, and Exterioo, to set up & to leverage their marketing, (re)branding, ecommerce, and customer experience strategy.

Next to this, you can also find Thomas on all sorts of Omnichannel & Digital fairs as a speaker, talking about the Future of Retail & Data Driven Marketing (The House Of Marketing – BE, Adobe Summit – UK, Adobe Symposium – NL, Retail Detail – BE, WebwinkelVakdagen – NL, and many others).
